I am Mahi Chowdhury, founder of Divorce Dad 9 Inc. Born on November 9th 1971 in Chittagong, Bangladesh and never thought of suicide till experiencing the bitterness of Divorce. Life has given me some interesting challenges which made me more grounded with positive energy, and be at the service for humanity.

Arrived in the USA in 1983, got married in 1998, and graduated as Cardiovascular Perfusionist from Vanderbilt University in 1999. In 2004, I was the youngest Chief Cardiovascular Perfusionist in Tulane University Medical Center, but lost everything in hurricane “Katrina” in 2005. On 2010, I got my MBA from University of Phoenix, and left the medical field to start my own business.

The year 2010, I opened my first company name "Student's R Boss", then "Centennial Market" on 2013, Tour Transporter on 2014, Vintage Soda Distributor on 2017 and lost it all in my divorce in 2021. I have two wonderful boys but only get 25% visiting time with them. Everyday 10 fathers commit suicide due to divorce and not being able to see their children. Divorce Dad 9 Inc. started on March 11th 2021 to raise awareness for divorce dads are at high risk for suicide. This organization is about “Suicide Prevention,” one suicides is one too many.
